Sis, have anyone told you that you are in control of your reality? If not, let me be the first to tell. YOU ARE IN CONTROL! It is time to understand the power within you and understand how to use it. It is okay that no one taught you how to heal and live life with a loving, positive mindset. There is no need to blame anyone for not teaching you because one day you will be teaching the ones who you looked up to. Most of the people we know and looked up to are stuck in an ancestral pattern of trauma and it is up to you to be that change. But remember, healing your family and friends is not your responsibility, living your truth is your responsibility.
It is never too late to heal and change. There comes a time on our journey where we are supposed to notice a cycle of pain that we have been traveling. During that time, we have an important choice to make. The choice is do we continue on a path to destruction, or do we finally surrender to change? Choices like this can be difficult to make because we sometimes become so comfortable in the negativity that we don’t believe that things can actually change. Making the choice to surrender takes bravery, patience, and most importantly faith.
Bravery means the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty. When choosing to surrender to the process of healing, you must understand that this is something that requires solitude. You may be forced to leave certain relationships and surroundings to prosper and that includes family and careers. You will realize that certain people or influences only applied to your life in a negative way and this part of the journey will teach you a lesson about yourself. You will need to learn how to create boundaries. During this process, it is important to have trusted people in your corner because everyone won’t understand you and they may judge you. Remember, everyone isn’t brave enough to surrender to this process so it may seem weird that you want to do things differently. Be brave Sis!
Patience means the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. This is an important part of the process because this is where a lot of people quit. Don’t quit Sis, this is only a test! Everything will seem to be working against you but, in reality it is the changes that you are making and the boundaries you are setting that causes this feeling. You will probably feel alone and misunderstood. That is why I mentioned to have trusted people in your corner. Trusted people can also be a good therapist and/or life coach. Some people will not be able to handle you at this level because they will notice your strength and it can be intimidating. Don’t fold, sis.
Lastly, faith is confidence in what we hope for and the assurance that God is working, even though we cannot see it. This is most important part of the healing process because trusting in the unknown requires a deep connection with yourself and the God. Most people are standing in the way of their destiny because they truly don’t believe a higher source is working on their behalf. We must understand that faith without work is dead. So that means in the process of healing there is work required of you. That work is being dedicated to healing, forgiving your past, and honoring who you are becoming. Restoring your heart is the assignment. Being able to accept and give unconditional love is the true gift of life. It’s time to heal, Sis!
